Acupuncture

“The goal of this dynamic and integrated health care system is to activate the natural, self-healing abilities of the body. It can also strengthen and support the body to prevent future illness and disease.”

Our acupuncture practitioners assess each individual’s needs and creates a customized plan of care.

Restoring Internal Harmony

Utilizing acupuncture, we encourage natural healing to restore harmony in the body and mind. Acupuncture treatment helps to relieve or alleviate symptoms and signs of many health problems. It can also uncover the underlying root cause(s) of those symptoms. Acupuncture seeks to balance Qi in the body. Imbalanced Qi from trauma, stress, pain, lack of movement, poor diet, overexertion, and many other lifestyle patterns influence the quantity and quality of Qi. This health modality encourages natural healing and overall well-being.

Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular acupuncture is a specialized form of acupuncture that focuses on the ear. It's based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem that reflects the entire body. This technique involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the ear to stimulate and balance energy, or Qi, in various parts of the body.

Practitioners use auricular acupuncture to treat a wide range of conditions, including pain management, addiction, mood disorders, and stress. It's often used in combination with other forms of therapy for enhanced effect. This form of acupuncture is particularly noted for its role in addiction treatment programs and for managing withdrawal symptoms.

  • Acupuncture is a safe, effective, and drug-free therapy that can help address a variety of common ailments and problems.

  • Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways. This safe and painless insertion of the needles can unblock the obstruction and balance Qi where it has become unbalanced. Once this is done, Qi can freely circulate throughout the body, providing adequate nourishment to cells, organs, glands, tissues, and muscles. This can eliminate pain and restore balance and harmony, as well as the body’s ability to heal itself—ultimately leading to optimal health and well-being.
